Author Guidelines
Article submitted in Justicia Sains: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English. We receive conceptual articles or research reports that have never been published before in any other publication with provisions as follows: The aforementioned conceptual manuscript or research reports belong to legal studies category.Â
The general guidelines for manuscript submission as follow:
Articles must be original, meaning that it must not have been published in any other journal or books in whatever language. Articles may be in either English or Bahasa Indonesia.
Title, abstract (150-300 words), and keywords (3-5 keywords) must be given in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Non-Indonesian authors can submit English abstracts only.
The content of the article itself must be between 5000 to 10.000 words, including footnotes and excluding bibliography.
The paper size is 16x24 cm with above and left margin of 2,5 cm, and below and right margin of 2 cm. The required font is Times New Roman with 10 pt, and 1.5 space
The bibliography does not need to have sub-sections categorizing different types of references.
Conference papers and thesis/dissertations may be considered for publication if (a) the author identifies the article as coming from these materials, and (b) if it has been thoroughly revised.
Authors must disclose all co-authors at the time of submission by inputting all names in the submission metadata. It must be noted that only persons who have major contributions to the article, including (a) writing multiple sections within the article and (b) has agreed to the entirety of the final product.
Authors must cite their sources responsibly and in accordance with the required format as explained later in this guideline.
The References shall include the most updated references (10 years later) and it is highly recommended to be referred from a journal (minimum 80% of all the references are journal).
The systematic structures of the research reports shall include:
Title,
The title is potential for authors to attract readers. Moreover, paper articles will be cited by other authors. Thus, it is essential to make sure the paper title is accurate, efficient, and unambiguous. The Title Are Written in Times New Roman (12 Pt) and Preferably Not More Than 14 Words.
Authors Name and Affiliations
The author's name should be provided without salutation or professional positions. These positions include Prof., Dr., Ms., Mr., and Manager. It is prohibited to abbreviate your last or family name. Authors Name should be written in Times New Roman, Bold, 10 pt. below, the author's name is the affiliation and email which is written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
Abstract and Keywords
Abstract is written in Both English and Indonesia. Non-Indonesian authors can submit English abstracts only. The abstract is written in Times New Roman (10 pt) is preferably between 150-300 words. The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology if the manuscript is taken from research report and a brief summary of results. The keywords are written in Times New Roman (10 pt) between 3 – 5 words.
Research background (with the Research Questions)
The introduction should be clear and provide for the issue to be discussed in the manuscript. Before the objective, authors should provide an adequate background, and very short literature survey in order to record the existing conditions, to show which is the best of previous researches, to show the main limitation of the previous researches, to show what you want to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper. This research is executed differently from existing or previous research, Example “The novelty of this research will make a significant contribution to determining the means, size, and function of the parliamentary threshold in the legislative electionâ€. At the end of the paragraph, the author/s should end with a comment on the significance concerning identification of the issue and objective of the research.
Research Methods
The method is optional for original research articles. This method 6 is written in descriptive and should provide a statement regarding the methodology of the research. This method is as much as possible give an idea to the reader.
Research Result and Analysist
This section is the most important section of your article. The analysis or results of the research should clear and concise. The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in great detail. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers.
Conclusion
Conclusion contains a description that should answer the problem(s) raised and answer the objectives of research. Provide a clear and concise conclusion. Do not repeat the Abstract or simply describe the results of the research. Give a clear explanation regarding the possible application and/or suggestions related to the research findings.
References.
References and footnote at the end of the manuscript should be written in Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note). They could be cited from books, journal articles, laws, and other references. Cite only items that you have read and written on footnotes. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. (Mendeley is preferred). Use other published articles in the same journal as models. All publications cited in the text should be included as a list of bibliography, arranged alphabetically by author. For example:
